Phone call between President Ebrahim Raisi and Mustafa Al-Kadhimi - Prime Minister of Iraq about Dust Storm
President Raisi on a phone call with Iraqi Prime minister emphasized that countries of the region should accomplish their responsibilities in connection with dust storm. He talked about the problems raised by sand and dust storm in cities of Iran and Iraq. He mentioned that addressing dust storm has become a public demand today and all countries of the region are expected to heed their responsibilities respectively.
29 May 2022 - On the prevailing dust storms in Iraqi and Iranian cities, President Raisi said that the climate change is not restricted to any certain country and no borders are limits for the climatic phenomena.
He asked every country in the region to heed their responsibilities regarding this problem and act urgently.
Al-Kadhimi also referred to his meeting with the head of the Iranian Environment Protection Organization about the dust problem and the practical acts that each country must pursue within the framework of an MOU.
